We use Flippers to record words we find tricky to spell.  On one side we write the word very clearly.  On the other we write strategies to help us remember how to spell it.  We use whiteboards to check our spelling each week.

In Sounds group we really enjoy timing each other and trying to beat the time we recorded last week.  We get a special sticker once we have read our sounds/words three times in a row within the time limit.

In the P1/2 and P2/3 Handwriting group we have been drawing horizontal lines.  We had to go from the dot at the start to the dot that said end (left to right).  Some of us found it challenging at the beginning of the session to make sure we followed the dots and stopped at the right point.  We practised and got more and more accurate.
