Wetland
We have been busy catching up on our wetland project.
Firstly, a very big thank you to Dunbar Landfill Site and Viridor Waste Management  who donated an old off-cut of liner to line our wetland. Also a huge thank you to Mr Riva who dug out our wetland for us. The Green Group are due to visit Smeaton Nursery in East Linton on the 5th May to pick some plants for our wetland. Smeaton Nursery have also kindly offered to donate various bits and pieces to help us including some willow which we will be able to weave and use as hedging. So another big thank you to Steve and his team at Smeaton for all their help! Any parents would would like to come with us are more than welcome but you will need to make your own way. We are also looking for volunteers to bring back our plants for us as we can’t take them on the bus!
Eco- Week:
This is due to take place this term so any ideas you may have are always welcome, just speak to one of the group.
Calling all parents and Guardians:
If you have a skill you can share with us, plants or cuttings to donate to us for the grounds, are willing to get involved or help out at anytime we would love to hear from you. Please let one of the group know, let the school office know or let us know through this web page.
More updates to follow after our visit to Smeaton.
