P5/6′s Schoolovision entry!

Join P5/6 for a good sing-song, as we share our entry to this year’s Schoolovision contest!
We recorded the song in March, at Castlesound studios in Pencaitland, and then filmed the video around the village on 18th April. Many thanks to Stuart and Amanda Hamilton at Castlesound for their help, along with Gavin Tully-Jackson, for his filming work. Thanks too, to Miss Traill for ensuring that the class knew the words to the song and sang so well, as well as to the ladies from the Co-op, and to Minister, Malcolm Lyon, for allowing us to invade for the filming! And, of course, many thanks to The Proclaimers, for allowing us to use their wonderful, catchy song.
We hope you enjoy the video, and perhaps follow the blog, to see how we do against a total of 39 participating countries, stretching from Iceland in the north-west, right down to Azerbaijan in the far south-east. Whoever wins the trophy this year, we’ve had some great fun singing and recording our song! We’ll find out the winners next Friday, 25th May, when Yester once again hosts the live webcam conference vote, when the countries come together to give their points to their favourite songs.
