  2. I’m trying to get in touch with your DHT (sorry can’t remember her name but hope I remembered the school?) who recently delivered a CPD on maths in Aberdeen. More specifically, I’m trying to get hold of a copy of the assessment matrix which we looked at during the course. I can see a tiny version of it on my handouts and it’s marked with the name of Mhairi Stratton. I’d love to get a hold of it and although I’ve retrieved all the other docs shown at the CPD from the East Lothian site, that assessment sheet is not there. Help!!! Can you please point me in the right direction if possible? Many, many thanks, Lorraine Rotchford, Glebelands PS, Baffin St, Dundee

  23. Windygoul Parent Council is delighted to invite you the first ever Windygoul Primary School Fair on Saturday 30th May 2009, 11am to 3pm in Windygoul Primary School, Tranent! Please circulate this to your members and come along to share our event.

Pupils, staff and parents have been hard at work getting everything organised, and there’s something for all the family, from arts and crafts, to ice cream, sponge throwing and beat the goalie.

The whole community is getting involved with stalls from local producers selling candles, jewellery and flowers, and we’ll have a special appearance by the Country Rangers and the Fire Brigade! The Fair will run from 11am until 2pm on Saturday 30th May in Windygoul Primary School grounds.

There will be favourites including home baking, tombola, Keith’s Games, toys and books, ice cream, popcorn, children’s crafts, tattoos. We’ll also have guess the weight of the cake, guess the doll’s birthday, a raffle to win a signed football, and guess how many sweeties in the jar.

Stalls will feature Body Shop goodies, and Utility Warehouse, Recharge and the Playtime Playgroup will be there along with Leith Academy.

Please come along and support our fantastic school community.

  25. Hi Folks

Just a wee note to let you all know that we have started a petition regarding the budget cuts expected for the following year, any objections need to be lodged by 19th December 2008.

Please help us by signing our petition, I can be found round at the P1/2/3 playground , I will be coming round to all parents hoping you will take a few seconds to sign the petition.
Also I will be arranging for the petition to be available at the Parent Councils Christmas Party for the kids so please feel free to sign it then and at the sign in Sheet at the Nursery.

Can I just say thank you to all people who sign the petition your help is much appreciated

    Thanks Parent Council

  26. Happy Christmas to all at Windygoul Primary School.
