A letter has gone out to all children today to be returned by Tuesday 16th April with your preferred day for Parent/Carer Consultations with staff on Tuesday 23rd and Thursday 25th April.

A copy can also be printed here by clicking the link below (just incase it didn’t make it home to you!)

All appointment times will be issued on Friday 19th April.

P1 and P7 Read’a'thon

Today P1c and P7b got together to share their favourite books. They spent some time reading to each other and discussing the reasons for their choices and why they liked the characters. Here are some comments from the children about the activity:

Olivia P1c said “I like Sleeping Beauty, it was written by Brothers Grimm.”

Caitlin P7b said “I was impressed with the P1 costumes, they were very creative.”

Craig P1c said “I made a model of Topsy and Tim at the swimming pool. It was fun to make.”

Sam P7b said “I liked the story of ‘The Gruffalo’s Child’ it was the best P1 story!”

Primary 6 – The Last Supper

This model was made by Zara, Jaime and Eve.
“Mrs Ferrier gave us a challenge to make a 3D model of The Last Supper. We learned about the Easter Story and then we had to make sure we showed everyone who should be at The Last Supper. We really liked creating the food and the drink on the table and working out how to make our model 3D.”

Primary 6 Model Making

Primary 6 made a model in class and this one was made by Libby, Lauren, Stella, Mia, Josh and Abdoul.
“We had to look at a picture of The Last Supper by Leonardo Da Vinci and then we had to make a 3D replica. We really enjoyed making it and learned all about the Easter Story, the people involved and how to work as a team!”

Eco Group

The Eco Group have been very busy since achieving their Green Flag status!

We met today to plan what we are going to plant in our raised beds this year. We have spoken to our cook, Kelly, and she has said that she would like to use any vegetables we grow in our courtyard to make school dinners, so we have decided to plant more vegetables this year. After the Summer holidays she is going to let us come along to the kitchen to help make some dishes and they will be served in the dinner hall! How cool is that??!!

Next week we are meeting with Mrs Blair and Mr Bonnar to look at how many packets of seeds we will need to purchase.

Benmore Day 5

We would like to say a huge ‘Well Done!’ to all our children for their amazing achievments this week. Despite a few sick bugs trying to spoil our fun, we managed to have a wonderful time and the staff at Benmore commented on how impressed they were with the positive attitude of the entire Windygoul Team.

We hope you enjoy hearing about all the accomplishments and adventures and we will get those photographs up this week!
