Sunshine and Science

P4/5/6 have been exploring the Arctic and Antarctic regions and were wondering how animals communicate under water so this week we decided to make the most of the beautiful weather and take our science investigations outdooors. We had great fun testing to see how sound travels and what it can travel through, as well as looking at how the human ear works. Did you know you can make a telephone out of yoghurt pots and that sound can blow out a candle?

Easter Egg and Spoon Race

Well done to everyone who took part in the Easter egg and spoon race today! All participants did a great job balancing their eggs as they went through hoops, tyres and over other obstacles around the course, not forgetting the added challenge of being dressed up! There was a fantastic array of fancy dress from pirates to police officers and even a pair of curtains! Thank you to all of the parents who came along and all of the children who took part to raise money for Cash for Kids and our playground.
