Pirates Ahoy!

P2/3 have spent the last 2 weeks working on a Pirates Ahoy performance along with P1/2 and P1/2 from Innerwick Primary. We had to create a story for our pirate ship, the Man-Eating Black Lizard! We had lots of ideas for our pirate ship and we used percussion instruments to make our story seem more real! We were attacked by a vampire mermaid in a storm along with hundreds of flying fish but our captain played a melody that calmed the sea and sent the vampire mermaid away.

P2/3 Travel Back In Time

This week we started talking about our Romans and Celts topic. We have been learning about chronological order and timelines. We measured a timeline outside and travelled back in time to the year
that Jesus was born and when the Romans and Celts were alive. We know that the Romans were alive 2000 years ago and we know that the Celts were around before Jesus was born.

We learnt about BC and AD and made a timeline to show what we know about the years before and after Jesus was born. We know that BC years are before Christ was born and that AD years are after Christ was born.

Pirates Ahoy

Yo ho, yo ho, we’re pirates don’t you know (ARGH!)

This week we have been practising our pirates songs because
next week we are putting on a performance called Pirates Ahoy. We have had lots of fun playing pirate games and singing our pirate songs.
