Have you seen our fabulous fence?. When we first saw the fence we thought it was brilliant! We think that Greame, the joiner, did a great job and we hope he comes to see it when the pond is finished.
This Friday is ‘Force Friday’. The whole school works to make our school environment a better place. P6/7 and P7 are all going to be painting the fence on Friday with Spruce green waterproof paint. Hopfully, we will manage to get some pond liner soon and get it fitted.
We also had a long think about doing more fundraising to help pay for the pond and fence. So watch out for news of this.

cannot understand why theres a pool in a school,my personnal opinion is it could be dangerous
when will the pond be done?
Heather it is not a pool but a pond. Nothing dangerous about that. even if it was a pool look at the fence and the security it provides! I find your comment a little bit weird. Good job on getting the project this far. It looks excellent and I hope the painting goes well. Well done!!!!!

Hello. We understand concerns about pond safety. We asked the Health and Safety Officer from East Lothian Council to come in and talk with us and give us safety guidance before we started the project. We took all the safety guidelines on board and adjusted our pond plan to fit these guidelines.
Next week, P6/7 and P7 will be visiting all classes and asking about their concerns,giving safety advise and explaining how the pond will be beneficial to their learning.
