Nursery News

We have been learning all about castles. We wanted to know what the different parts of a castle were called. We now  know about a moat , a portcullis and that a knight wears armour. We wanted to make a dragon to fly over our castle, so Miss Glynn helped us to make one . Now we need to think of a name for him.

p4/5′s Blog

We have been learning fractions. Our spelling words are ei and eigh. They are quite hard. We have been learning lots of facts about Van Gogh. We did ‘Wheatfields’, using pastles and ‘Starry Night’ using pastles and paint. We used paintbrushes and toothbrushes to paint and printed the stars and moon. They look ammmmmazing. Today was the end of our sponsored Big Read. Lots of people brought sponsor money in. Every time we read a book we added a link onto our paper chain. The paper chain has made it right across the classroom.
