Science experiment

On Monday we went outside and made massive bubbles. We used cones to blow.  We made the mixture out of glycerine, washing up liquid, baking powder, sugar and corn flour. Then we put it into a small paddling pool. And we had lots of fun blowing bubbles.

MathsWeek

This week is Maths Week in our school. On Monday the whole class went on a treasure hunt. We had to go round the school getting green cards and on the cards were sums and clues to find the next card. On Wednesday we went to the Maths Roadshow. We worked out the puzzles on the cards and it was fun! We have been working with our Buddies in P2T to create our own maths games and we hope lots of our parents will come into school on Friday to play them with us. Our number is 28 and our shape is a cylinder. We have been finding out facts for the number 28 and thinking about all the things we know that are cylinder shaped. Maths week has been great fun!

Buddhism and Meditation

This week we have been learning about the Buddha . We have been learning to meditate. We meditate by crossing our legs and putting one hand on our stomach and one hand on our knee. Miss Marr read us a story while we meditated. It felt very relaxing. Meditation is supposed to clear the mind and relax the body. It worked for some of us!

Our Open Morning

On Friday it was our Open Morning. Lots of parents came to our class. They wrote their name in Greek and made Greek pots. They also found Greece on the map. Everybody managed to guess where Greece was  located. The open morning was a fantastic success!

Storyteller

Tim the storyteller came to visit us. He came last Thursday and again today. He told us two stories. It was funny and exciting. He told us about his childhood. He gave homework to us which was for us to ask our family about stories from the past.He got us to re-tell our stories today and he was really impressed.
