On Monday we had our Burns Lunch.  All the children, staff and guests enjoyed the afternoon.  The Pied Piper, Richard, piped in the Haggis (said Holly).  Howard  addressed the Haggis and Arthur welcomed everyone to the lunch.  Then we ate our Haggis, tatties and leeks/neaps (Naomi) and everyone said they were yummy.

After our lunch we all stood up and read our poems and sang some scottish songs.

Our project is Transport. These are the things we have done so far:

  • written different kinds of poems about types of transport
  • coloured and cut out parts of pictures of buses and stuck them together
  • followed instructions to make pictures of transport
  • searched on google for pictures of transport to show a journey we’d made
  • made models using kids k’nex
  • started building a wooden garage
  • planned what we would learn and how we would learn it

Lewis and Yasmin said they are enjoying this topic because it is about cars (that was Lewis!) and we are learning lots of interesting things about transport.
