Bird Feeders

A group made bird feeders to hang up at Fa’side Lodge in Tranent. The group went to the local shops to get the materials and put them together at school before taking them along. Hopefully these will attract all sorts of birds!

Some P6 pupils have been learning about Biodiversity. We took our mini microscope and went to see what was living in our log pile. We found worms and some very fast spiders – everything was very keen to escape! Looking forward to seeing what comes out as the weather gets warmer.

Second Green Flag

Today was a very special day for us at Sanderson’s Wynd. We have earned our second Green Flag through lots of hard work that has involved the whole school. This morning we held a ceremony to raise our new flag. Well done to everyone in the school and community who has helped us achieve this goal!

John Muir Topic

P5 learned about germination, photosynthesis and the classification of plants and animals as part of their topic on John Muir.  They have also looked at life cycles and have been responsible for the insect garden and wetlands.
