Energy Sources in Japan

In December Primary 5 were learning about energy sources in Japan and the looked into nuclear energy before and after the earthquake and tsunami.

Composting

The bottom corridor of our school use compost bins to gather up all of their fruit skins, so two p7s go around the classes, collect the small buckets and empty them in to the large bins at the back of the school, then after that they go to the first aid room and wash out the buckets, then they go and deliver them back to the classes.

On the 11th of April the whole school did a litter pick up and we picked up an out standing amount of  litter which weighed 40 kg. The places we cleared were…

All of the classes went out with thier buddies, it was good to see the area clean and the eco commitee don’t hope to see it back the way it was.

Potato Growing & Vegtable Garden

The whole school are taking part in a potato competition ,everybody would like  to win and we hope there will be no stealing like last time . They have been growing for some time now and soon they will get weighed.

Primary 6/7 and Primary 7 have been working on the schools vegetable garden and so far they have planted leeks,strawberries,beetroot,poached egg plant & carrots. Primary 7 are growing a chilli plant in thier classroom.
