The 2011 school calendars are selling well. A self portrait of each child at S. Wynd has been placed under their birthday month.They make a good Christmas stocking filler or New Year present, so if you are still stuck for something to give granny and grandad, or an aunt or uncle , there are still some calendars left for sale at school. £4 each or 3 for £10.
The Christmas Hamper has raised a staggering £280! Thank you to everyone who bought a raffle ticket.
On Tuesday, the whole school enjoyed the wonderful pantomime, Aladdin. There was lots of singing, jokes and funny happenings! The children and teachers all joined in with all the fun and laughter. The pantomime was kindly subsidised by the Parent Council, who also treated everybody to an ice-cream! Thank you from all at Sanderson’s Wynd! 
We will be opening today and reverting back to using the front entrance for access at the start and end of the day. Please drop your child at the front gate unless they are a nursery pupil.

Here are P4T and P4K classes looking really smart and Christmassy dressed up in their party gear. The party was loud and fun and everybody seemed to enjoy themselves. Look at the post below to see the fun we had with one of the party games.
There was much laughter with the P4 Christmas party game ‘Egyptian Mummies’. Teams were competing to try and cover their ‘mummy’ before the music stopped playing. As you can see from the pictures, it was a challenging, if not hilarious task! 
P3-P7 classes performed their Christmas Concert to parents on Wednesday. Hosanna Rock was a big hit and it was clear from the smiles in the audience that parents really enjoyed the children’s singing. 
As from today (Wednesday 15th December) pupil will be dismissed from the usual doors at the rear of the school. All gates are now open for access. Please use the rear of the school to access the playground for lining up at the start of the day. Pupils in Primary 1 and 2 will be dismissed at their usual time of 2.50pm and pupils in Primary 3 to 7 will be dismissed at 3.20pm.
We will keep you posted if this has to change as it is weather dependent.
P1 and P2 classes performed their nativity to the rest of the school today. Christmas now feels as if it has properly started! Well done boys and girls! You did really well. Your parents will be so proud of you and they will love the Wriggly Nativity too. (See post below for performance times.)
Nativity
The Nativity performances for parents/carers will be held on Tuesday 14th December. There will be two performances – at 9.30am and 2.00pm and parents/carers may choose which one they would like to attend.
P3-P7 Concert
The P3 – P7 concert performance for parents/carers will be held on Wednesday 15th December at 1.45pm.
