Club Golf

Over the past three weeks, the class have been learning how to play golf. The Club Golf sessions taught the skills in putting, chipping and full launch and the pupils also learned a few golfing terms. In week 3, Kate Green, our E.L Club Golf co-ordinator,  visited us to set up a ‘golf course’ on our school playing fields and to help the children to improve their golf skills. During our morning’s game, she observed their technique and was very impressed with how well the class were playing their shots.

On Wednesday we went on the field and Kate Green set up a golf course. We were put in groups and Demi and Benjamin were in my team. At first when I got a tee I swung my golf club and missed the golf ball and smacked the tee instead. I kept doing it. I was furious but Kate noticed and helped me swing it properly and I did it good. I almost got a hole in one! I really enjoyed it!  Nico

We have been doing Club Golf and we have been learning it in PE. On Wednesday Kate Green came. She put us into groups. One of us had to carry the safety cone, someone had to carry the putter and the other person carried the launcher. Me, Ellie and Cameron played about 8 or 9 holes. It was easier to do a shot nearer the hoops. We almost got right around the whole course. Ellie was good at launching and Cameron was better at putting. I like golf and I enjoyed the session. In the teams we had to go around a course aiming for the fkag. In the first hole we were not that good but by the 5th hole, I got a hole in one! We never managed the whole course but I enjoyed it anyway. Michael was the best launcher and Connie and I were good at putting. Half way around the course we tricked Connie into using the wrong club! Emma

On wednesday we played golf. We do it in teams. We tee numbers 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8. We play golf and Kate and Mrs Thomson tell us how to play golf. We do golf lessons. Rhys
