“A fast-paced novel. A real page turner. I really enjoyed it and would recommend it for any teenagers who enjoy novels with a twisting plot, bearing in mind that it does jump aroung a bit.” Jean

“I thought this book had a bad biginning & weid end & far-fetched but it was okay.” Morna

“I quite enjoyed this book but I thought that some of the characters were a bit shallow. I think that the author could also do with some new subject matter.” Linna

“Its a very good, interesting book. I couldn’t put it down.” Catie

“This book was very enjoyable and un-put-downable. 9/10. The end seemed rushed. The characters were interesting.” Craig

Grandpa’s boat by Michael Catchpool and Sophy Williams

This is a picture book which is now available from a public library in East Lothian.

Since Grandpa died, his family have left his boat, The Periwinkle, untouched and unused. But one day they decide to repair the boat in memory of Grandpa, and find that it is better to remember than to forget.

A very moving story with beautiful illustrations.
