We want to make sure that our classroom is a safe, supportive and stimulating learning environment for every pupil. We will be building up a class charter over the next few weeks that will be enable us to achieve our goal. I will post it on this page when it is complete.

8.12.2011         In the last few weeks we have focused on taking turns when speaking and putting up a thumb to get a chance to share our thoughts as well as not swinging on our chairs. We are continuing our work on RESPECT, both for ourselves and others.

4.10.2011             Our focus for the last two weeks of this block is RESPECT.  We  know that children have the right to be treated with respect and also the responsibility to treat everyone around them with respect. Respect is the most important part of our charter.

17.09.2011            This week our focus is on name calling. Yesterday we discussed the hurt that it causes and we recognised that it leads to much bigger problems. We agreed to not call names and understand the clear consequences if we don’t stick to our agreement. This focus will form the first part of our charter.
