On Wednesday afternoon P6 put on a display of knowledge for parents and carers. Their topic was Africa and they presented their work in a very professional way.The children will post more information soon.
This all started when we decided how we were going to show our spectacular work.We decided as a year group that we were going to do a display of knowledge. This would help to improve our team abilities and make a dazzling display. We had it well laid out in the small room next door as well as the area. The week before we made a leaflet to tell all the parents and carers when it was and what time. Then we went to sort the room were the parents or carers can have tea or coffee.
Then it came to the day that we were showing the work so we did the finishing touches and set up the drumming and waited. After lunch it came and we were all set up and could not wait !The parents finally came we were so excited. The parents loved the drumming and got up to dance, they were smiling so much it was unbelievable. Then we went through to the display, the parents loved it.

I was so impressed with the African displays which I was fortunate enough to see over the past few weeks outside my office. The parents and carers who came to school last week recorded so many positive comments and clearly had a great time. Congratulations to P6H, P6S and P6B!!
I was very proud of you all P6 ! You all worked really hard on the display of knowledge.
even though i wasnt there on the day it looks really cool
We had the drumming experience when my class were there and it was so fun. I would also love to hear that drumming?
It would be fun to record some drumming and put that on your site, it’s about time we heard you as well as saw you!
By the way, I noticed the original pictures in the gallery were a bit too big to load quickly so I’ve made smaller versions and replaced them.
The way the Gallery works, it scales down the original images for display, it doesn’t use separate thumbnails. That can mean they take ages to load unless the originals are kept to around 400 pixels wide, or a file size of less than about 100KB. I hope that makes sense, and is helpful!
That looks fantastic P6! I would have loved to have heard the drums.
Are you planning to record some of your drumming ?
