Bake for Brake

We have been raising money for the charity Brake and sold lots of cakes at tuck and at the end of the day. P3/13 helped me to decorate the cakes to make them look like traffic lights and with special cake toppers that were kindly donated to us.

Thank you to everybody who has supported me in raising money for the charity Brake. It has become a charity close to mine and my family’s hearts this past year and your amazing support has been overwhelming. A special thank you to those parents who made goodies for me to sell and those who helped me pull it all together today!

You have all helped me to raise a fantastic £256.55!

Thank you!

Beep Beep day!

Friday the 24th was the date for our annual community walk. This year we all dressed in bright colours so that everybody (and especially the traffic) could see us. It was a bit cold so we wore brightly coloured vests over our coats. It was a great walk down to the power station and back.

We Are Growing Our Own Healthy Foods!

As part of Health Fortnight we have been looking at healthy foods. We have been learning what foods are good for our bodies and where some foods come from. We planted some healthy fruit and vegetables of our own. We are growing Rocket and Olympus potatoes and we are also growing tomatoes. There are not any shoots yet but we hope to see some soon and we will measure the stalks as they grow and make a bar chart of their height.

Land Dinosaurs

We have been learning about dinosaurs that lived on land. There were carnivores – they ate meat; herbivores – they ate plants; and omnivores - they ate both meat and plants. We have been looking at the Brachiosaurus, the Stegosaurus and (the favourite by far) the Tyrannosaurus Rex. We have been finding out what they eat, how they might have moved and whether they might have lived in packs.
