Last Friday, the Eco Defenders Group held an assembly to tell the boys and girls about World Earth Hour. The Eco Defenders told us about CO2 gases that are produced when we burn fossil fuels to make electricity. These gases are harming our Ozone Layer and causing the Earth to heat up too much. If we learn to switch off our electricity when we are not using it we will help to stop Global Warming. On Saturday 31st March, everyone is asked to turn off their electricity for one hour to help save our planet. As the school is closed on this day we will all be switching off on Friday between 11am and 12 am instead. We hope that you will join in World Earth Hour.
