P1/5 2012 meet their teachers at Ratho on PhotoPeach

What a really special time our new P1/5 children had meeting their teachers Mrs Malcolm and Mrs Kettell. Lovely bacon rolls were waiting at 9.30am when you all got off the bus and you played and learnt and had fun all morning till it was time to go. This is what you thought about the morning.

Amanda, “First impressions – are yous having a laugh? We could have gone to a park in the Pans but then I saw everything and it was not long enough. It was TOTALLY FAB!!! Bacon rolls braw.”
” Fab, kids and parents had a ball. Great way for kids to meet their class. Fab bacon rolls. :) “
Jack wrote, “It was good.” in his lovely emergent writing.
Sophie said, “Lots of fun finding out who will be in school with me.”
Amanda, Kerry, Sam, Katey and Zoe said, “Brilliant day! Adults had more fun than the kids!!”
“Brilliant idea. Great venue. Fab time. Kids having a ball. Well done all!”

Aw….. thank you all. You supported your children beautifully today and we all had fun getting to know each other. :)

Having lived and worked in West Pilton, Edinburgh for 30 years, I am now really happy to be living in Port Seton and Headteacher of Prestonpans Infant School.   1. Fabulous Day spent with you all. Although I will not be working with this class directly, I do get the opportunity to get to know many of them, as Rhona does, with the classes I am in. A pleasure to meet them and you yesterday!

  2. What a fantastic time the new P1s seemed to have meeting their new teachers and classmates! Especially nice to see so many dads there with the children. Well done to all involved!
