why not just keep the website you have at the moment? Personally I find the two addresses given to choose from very stereotypical of Prestonpans. People should call it Prestonpans not “the pans”. I would like the option of keeping the address the same, if not it is a very unfair vote.
If I understand correctly, Weepanners.org (or any other name) would be an *additional* address rather than a *new* address. It would simply re-direct to the edubuzz.org/prestonpansinfant site and existing bookmarks would still work.
(I realise that the earlier comment was in regard to stereotyping, but thought some clarification was needed).
Hi, as Jo has already mentioned the new name will be in addition to the edubuzz name and will take you to the current website.
I personally prefer the “weepanners” name and as a panner (a proud one at that!) I see nothing derogatory in using that name – infact if you are up on your local history you should know where the name originates from.
Another advantage of having an easy to remember short name is that it could be linked to the parent councils Facebook page, making that page easier to find.

As a newcomer to Prestonpans i like weepanners and dont think it is stereotypical at all
I accept all your comments, but it is a highly unfair vote if you do not include the address at the moment because people that do not want it to change do not have the opportunity to say. The UK is a democracy and we should be given all choices available.

LOOK at the comments!!!! The website address is NOT changing!!!! It is simply an additional, easy to remember address which goes to the same website. Obviously debate is good and everyone has the right to express their point of view but at least have the decency to put your name to it!
What a healthy debate. Thank you all for your contributions. The children were actually able to vote in class before the adults got a chance. Very few of them wanted to keep only the current address, which is http://www.edubuzz.org/prestonpansinfant. However, this address will remain as our address. We are simply going to adopt another name which is easier for children (and visitors) to type in and find. The Pupil Council will count all the votes tomorrow and we’ll announce it at the Nativity.
