Thanks to Robin, from Domino Pizza in Musselburgh, our school was given the opportunity to enter a float in the Musselburgh Festival Parade on Friday. We had a very busy day, starting at 9.00 am to make the decorations for the float. We started by blowing up hundreds of balloons – this was very tiring work! Our theme was ‘The Romans’ and we made a Roman Fort, Ship and Charriot as well as lots of pizzas, swords, shields and daggers. Robin provided us with some real pizzas for lunch – yum, yum – and then it was back to work, dressing the lorry. This took us a long time to do but our end result was fantastic! The judges were very impressed with our float and we won Third Prize! A huge thanks to all the children and parents who came along to help and cheer us on. We had a fantastic time. And a massive thanks to Robin for giving us this opportunity and to Glen from Domino Pizza for being brave enough to climb to the top of the lorry to stick all those balloons on!. Well done boys and girls, you were stars! Click on the link to see a slideshow of the day.
