X-CEED
Following the success of our information event on 30th January in Dunbar we have planned three further events in East Lothian. The first of these will be on 13th March in our Musselburgh office. This is situated behind the Job centre in the Eskmill Business Park next to the front entrance to Stewart House. The second event is in Dunbar again at the Bleaching Fields Community Centre on 10th April and lastly we will be holding one at Haddington Town Hall on 15th May. All events will be 11am-3pm. There will be an information stall, an opportunity to meet workers and have brief 1-1’s with workers. The events are open for both young people and professionals who would like to drop in and find out more. See further information from X-CEED below:

X-CEED – An Overview
X-CEED is a new project launched by Rathbone and funded over a five year period by the Big Lottery.
Our aim is to engage with vulnerable young people and improve their life chances through the provision of intense one to one support and (when ready) group activity.
Key objectives we have set are; to address any potential barriers, improve the behaviours and relationships of young people and encourage participants to re-engage with learning and / or employment.
Who Do We Work With?
X-CEED is a programme for 14 – 25 year olds living anywhere within Edinburgh, East Lothian or Midlothian
We are funded to work with young people who:
Are currently or previously involved in the Care System
Have been involved with the youth justice system, have a background of offending or be at risk of offending
Be viewed as vulnerable or hard to reach (eg homeless, family difficulties etc.)
If you are uncertain about whether a young person is eligible then please contact Caroline Cooper as all referrals will be considered on a case by case basis.
What is the Referral Process?
If you have a young person who you feel would benefit from our services then please contact the X-Ceed Team in order to make an initial Referral Apt. We have offices in Edinburgh City Centre and Musselburgh or can meet individuals at various outreach locations.
