Holland 2012: Day 5

This morning we woke to beautiful blue skies and sunshine. We had our breakfast and set off sharp for Belgium. The journey to Bobbejaanland takes about 90 minutes and day was getting hotter and hotter. You will see in the photos that the weather was brilliant which was good as the park was very busy – the queues were very long.

Unfortunately none of our boys appear to have been carrying cameras – clearly too heavy! Consequently the photo selection is more limited.

The “I’m so stupid” Award goes to Karli for salting her chicken nuggets with sugar  – sweeet!! A close 2nd for this Award was the unattributed quote “Is Belgium in Holland?”

After dinner it was a final opportunity to visit Valkenburg town centre to buy some gifts and souvenirs.

Tomorrow we have a really early start, Breakfast at 7.00 and on the road by 8.00 to begin the journey to Prestonpans. We will be stopping for a few hours in Gouda – some of the travellers are hoping to buy cheese, some clogs, and other blue and white china windmills – no national stereotyping here!

There is unlikely to be a Day 6 update  – probably no internet connection on the ferry, so see you all on Thursday. To those of you who have posted a comment on this site a big thank you – there is significant  interest each day to see who has been reading, watching and replying.

From the staff – a big thank you to all the parents for en-trusting your children to us for the week, they have been – and had – great fun.

Please keep posting your replies we all love to hear from you.
