Red Nose Day

We had a great time on Friday….Doing something funny for Money!

Fair Trade Fortnight

As part of our Fair Trade Fornight, Richard Taylor came in to do some work with all the P7 classes. He told us all about the history of Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade. Some parts were quite shocking and hard to imagine that people were treated this way. We found out what it would have been like for the slaves on board a ship and we soon discovered that it wouldn’t have been a very pleasant experience.

P7A Election Speeches

We had a very busy Thursday in P7A! Each political party gave their speech and then we all went to the polling station to cast our vote in secret! Well done to the Hunger Games party who were elected as our winning class party, by two votes, with the People’s Party coming second.

P7A Election Campaign

It has been a very busy week in P7A! Election fever has gripped the whole P7 corridor with each party fighting to win the votes of the class. Each team were given the tasks of creating a party, designing a logo, running an advertisement campaign and writing a speech to deliver their manifesto. It was a great success! Everyone has worked really hard and had a great time! Well Done!

Trip to the Scottish Parliament

Primary 7A and P7C braved the cold weather on Monday to visit the Scottish Parliament in Edinburgh. We were given a tour of the building and were all very impressed with its modern design. The Debating Chamber was our favourite part and we enjoyed seeing where the MSPs sit and how the parties are organised. We also got to meet Chick Brodie who is a member of the SNP and ask him some questions.

P7 had a great time today celebrating Children in Need! We all dressed down in our spottiest clothes and joined the rest of the school for an aerobics session with Pudsey!

P7 VE Day Party

The War is over! We all had a great time today celebrating VE Day! Well done to all the performers. Great singing and dancing!
