P6 went out onto our (windy) field to re-enact the infamous Battle of Culloden. Our highland charge was enough to give any poor visitors a real fright

Children at Dunbar Primary School have been enjoying lots of exciting maths activities as part of a ‘Mad about Maths’ fortnight. Here are some pupils from P6c taking part in the Maths Roadshow. It was encouraging to see the children applying skills they have learned in other Maths lessons to help with problem solving in a real context.

P6 classes at Dunbar Primary this week enjoyed a visit from Bonnie Prince Charlie and his Jacobite supporter. Members of the Prestonpans Heritage trust, they shared loads of interesting stories with us while dressed in costumes of the day. We even learned about their weapons!Today P6 pupils visited Belhaven Nursing Home to give a concert with a Scottish theme. The residents really enjoyed it and the children were given tasty refreshments as a thank you.
Today P6 enjoyed some big changes as part of our Unicef Day For Change.

We all had different teachers for the day! A big thanks to Mr Morgan, Mr Darling, Miss Seaton and Mr Lugton who took over P6 for a super fun day.
We also had some interesting vistors including a few grannies (Robbie and Jack!), Jedward (Abigail and Lauren) and of course some lovely hair styles. Thanks to Caitlyn for her delicious chocolate cake (yum yum).
Well done to everyone for taking part and for helping to raise money for sports for development in Uganda.
We will put up some photographs soon.
Tomorrow, Miss Eeles will be working with P6B for part of the morning.
We are going to play some games that will help us to use apostrophes correctly.
Apostrophe Activity - Please complete all the activities with your talking partners.
Penalty apostrophes - A fun game to finish off!
Have fun and I will hear all about your hard work when I see you after break!
