Welcome 6a to your new blog. We’ve had a really fun and interesting start to the school year, getting classroom routines and expectations for the year ahead set out. We are starting the school year looking at Myths and Legends as our topic and we have already produced some great work around this including creating our own mythical creatures and constructing a Pandora’s Box filled with our aims and hopes for the year ahead. 6a had their first German lesson today with Frau Murray and everyone has learned to introduce themselves, say what age they are and to say goodbye. We also made frames for our Hall of achievement, so that we can all work towards one our school aims – “I am happy to share my successess”. Children will be responsible for choosing work they are happy with or achievements outside of school to put on display in their frame.

I liked doing the Pandora’s boxes along with the myths and legends. My favourite was the Gurt Worm of savage wood.
