We have been learning about the Olympics and we made pop up books,flags and athletes and we painted them red,blue,brown and peach. Olivia was partner with Melanie and Andrew was partners with Cameron Howden and we were writing about the torches and information about olympics.

We are learning about measuring in maths. Today Miss Russell set out a groups of sets . Here are some pictures for you to look at if you like. They are from yesterday. We all are having a great time learning aboat measuring. We are doing great activities aswell. It is fun. We were using a trundle wheel and a metre stick. We enjoyed the long jump and the javelin throw.

Coastlines

We have made a really big picture for our coastline display and labelled it.We put a island , sea arch , cliffs ,rocks, rock pools, sand bay,sand dunes, mudflats, salt marshes and the sea we are all happy with our picture. We have made a posters that say do not drop litter on the coastlines for our homework. Miss Russell brought books in school for us to look at and brought shellS in for the display.We liked learning about the coastline because we learned new things.

tug of war

We done tug of war for the Olympics, the winners from each heat got through and, losers were eliminated. We then had a final between China and U.s.a, China won it. It was scary some of us got put up whith a p5ers . after Sports day we watched The final it was really exciting.

Olympics Football Tournament

Lots of the P4′s / P5′s joined together to play football out in the field. It was fun because my team kept scoring goals. I was playing for New Zealand and my team won. The other teams in the tournament were China, U.S.A, New Zealand and Spain. Everyone played really well and it was a good contest.

Maths- Money

At maths we’ve been leaming about money. We’ve been exchanging a pound for 50p, 20p, 20p and 10p . In our books we’ve been writing Tens and Units with the money. If you didn’t have a 20p you could use a 10p and a 10p.

Tasty Cake Cafe

Last week we were doing Scottish dancing. One dance was called The Flying Scotsman. This week we are doing athletics with Mr Mooney and Mrs Still and we had great fun and we had 6 different activites to do one was called hop, skip, jump.
