Last night Ormiston pupils enjoyed an unusual bedtime story – one read live from Australia by web videoconference.
The story was read by a teacher from Ormiston State School in Brisbane, and we were able to watch her, and see pictures from her book on our whiteboard. Her class has been working with us on using new technologies such as shared web sites to help us with our reading.
It was 6.30am for Shaz, the Australian teacher, when we all came in at 8.30pm here, so we were very pleased that she started work so early just for us! Here are some photos of us – and a few teddies too! -enjoying our story and hot chocolate. We hope you like them.
