Pupil Council

There are two representatives from each class in the school and four from P7. The Pupil Council take ideas from their class-mates and work together to find ways to make the school a better place. The chair-person and secretaries help to organise the meetings and write letters and e-mails.

We have covered many things in our meetings, from healthy eating in the school, to making the playground a better place. Thanks to letters we have written, the toilets in the school have been re-furbished. The P1 & P2 toilets were renewed over the Summer and the upper school toilets were completed by Christmas. Here are some photos of the work.

Another success for the Pupil Council was to get new bike racks installed in the playgrounds.  The Pupil Councils from the last two years have worked hard to make this happen and the installation was completed in January.

P1-P4 can now chain up their bikes in the P1/2 playground and the older children can chain theirs up in the P5/6/7 playground.

We’re still working hard to improve our playgrounds and now have our own page on the school development plan to show what our focus will be for the coming year.
