A 10 year old girl has raised £730 for the hospital where her grandmother is being treated for cancer.
Rebecca Glen, who is in p6 at Ormiston Primary, followed the Ormiston- Pencaitland railway walk to fundraise for ward 1 at Edinburgh’s western General Hospital where her grandmother Christine Glen receives chemotherapy.
Since Mrs Glen, 57 was diagnosed with breast cancer in March 2011 Rebecca who lives in Tranent has pledged to do a fundraiser every year. Last year she raised £232 by holding a week-long book fair at her school.
Her grandmother, who lives on george cresent, Ormiston with husband Kenny is tackling cancer for the second time.
