A Visit From the Police!

Last week we were very lucky to have the police come to nursery and talk to us about keeping safe.  PC Laura and PC Colin came to each class and told us about their jobs and how to stay safe when we are out.   In the afternoon they came back with their police car and we got to hear the loud sirens!  Here are some photos from their visit.

Bird Watching (room 1pm)!

Today we put out our bird cake and waited patiently to see the birds feed. Unfortunately no birds found it so we will have another look tomorrow. We even had the binoculars and bird identifications sheets at the ready to find out which birds liked our bird cake.

Feeding the birds

Today Room 1 pm children made a big fat ‘ball’. We all worked together! We each had to read the ingredients list and put in the correct amount of food…
* 2 spoonfuls of seeds
* 5 raisins
* 3 pieces of cheese
Then at the end of the day we melted lard and added it to our mixture. We have put it in the fridge to cool and harden.

Tomorrow we will be putting it outside for the birds. We can’t wait to see what kind of birds will like our fat ‘ball’.
