A BIG thank you to all the mummies, grannies and friends who knitted vests & hats for the Malawi “Fish & chip” babies. We collected 122 sets and 39 extra hats!!!
Mrs Cubitt from the church visited us today to collect the vest & hats and to tell us about why the babies in countries like Malawi need our help.
Again a big thank you to the parents committee for organising and producing the recipe book and of course a big thank you to the contributing families.

Katie and Poppy asked the class which kind of sandwich they would like- tuna or cheese. Tom and Robbie helped make the sandwiches and took the grapes off the stalk. Jena wrote the snack board with some help from Miss Watson.
Last week we were very lucky to have the police come to nursery and talk to us about keeping safe. PC Laura and PC Colin came to each class and told us about their jobs and how to stay safe when we are out. In the afternoon they came back with their police car and we got to hear the loud sirens! Here are some photos from their visit.
Last week the pre-school children in the morning took part in creating an animation. The animation featured the four seasons of the year and each class took responsibilty for making the props needed to create the animation. Room 1 were busy painting and making flowers to create Spring. Room 2 were working very hard making bees and butterflies for Summer and room 3 painted and cut out trees and leaves for Autumn. When we had finished making the backgrounds and props Jonathon and Simone Charles came to nursery with their equipment and cameras to film the animation. We worked together in small groups to film the animation. We had to move pieces of the picture very slightly and take a photo each time. Then we got to watch a little bit of the animation as we worked on it. It was great seeing our pictures coming to life! Here are some pictures of us creating the animation.
