We are holding a Potato growing competition at the nursery.  The boys and girls have already planted their potatoes and they are looking after them.  We have some other groups from the community taking part too.  If you would like to join in at home then please see Miss Hunter for details.

Judging will take place after the summer holidays and the group who has the heaviest collection of potatoes will be annouced the winner.

Bird Box Diary 1

We are very excited to announce that a blue tit family has moved into our new bird box. The bird box has a better image than before which can be projected on to our IWB and it even has sound. Can you see how many eggs Mrs Bluetit has laid? What can you hear?

Harvesting our potatoes

Room 1 harvested our potatoes with morning. It was messy work!
We found 29 potatoes, some BIG and some very small.
As a class we had a think about what we could make with our potatoes. We will make the final decision tomorrow.

As you are aware we are already recycling shoes. We welcome all kinds of footwear, all sizes and in any condition. Please place in the decorated wheely bin at the door and then put the corresponding number of stickers onto our shoe chart, remember one sticker per pair.
The shoes will be donated to the charity “500 miles”. This charity will either recycle or reuse them. Some may even end up in Malawi. Click on the link below for the charity’s website.
