One of the favourite activities at the moment in room 1pm is riding on the bus and going to the forest, the cinema, Edinburgh, the park and for picnics. We’ve taken advantage of this and introduced buying/selling tickets and taking turns pretending to be the driver.

Recently we bought some Scottish books for the home lending library. There are a range of books – stories , rhymes, Scots language counting books and books about North Berwick and Edinburgh.

The children have been so very busy making models from junk that we are running very low on supplies. Please bring in egg cartons, yoghurt pots, boxes, toilet rolls, etc. as soon as you can.

This week the morning classes and Room 1PM have been reading the 3 books listed in the Royal Mail Book Awards shortlist: What the Ladybird heard by Julia Donaldson, Stormy Weather by Debi Gliori and Love from Lousia by Simon Puttock.
