ASSEMBLIES
There will be extended Assembly for Grange pupils today in the Hall until 9.05.
HOME BAKING/TOMBOLA STALL DONATIONS! If anyone would like to donate some homebaking or tombola raffle prizes for the Parent Council stall at Festivale2, please can you drop it off or send it into school on Friday morning or at the Summer Concert on Thursday night. Rehearsals for the summer concert on Thursday 21 June are being held on the following days at the following times –

Jazz Band – Period 5
String Group – Period 6
Thursday 21 June (all rehearsals will be in the Assembly Hall)
Orchestra – Period 1

Choirs – Period 3
Soloists/Rock Band – Period 4
Guitar Ensemble – Period 5
Jazz Band/Wind Band – Period 6
All players in all ensembles are expected to attend every rehearsal. Please see Mr Armstrong or your instrumental instructor if you cannot attend for whatever reason.

East Lothian Peregrines are looking to recruit new basketball talent for the 2012/2013 we will be in school at break on Tuesday 19th June in Gym 2 for demo and flyer hand-outs. All ages welcome boys and girls. Mr Fruish

Summer Reading Challenge
Looking forward to lots of summer reading? Aged 12 – 16? Why not register for the East Lothian Libraries Summer Reading Challenge? Once you have registered, each library book you read, (from the school or public library) entitles you to an entry in a prize draw for Amazon vouchers. Your Smartcard is your library card and can be used at any branch library in East Lothian. To register and find out more come along to the school library.
S3 Pupils
Letters will be issued during History classes over the next week with information on next year’s S3 History trip to The Battlefields in Ypres, Belgium and The Somme, France. The trip will be available to pupils who do not take History but priority will be given to History pupils. Those S3 pupils who do not receive a letter in class can collect one from either Mr Duncan D4, Mrs Bonnar C8 or Mrs Anderson D8 by Tuesday 19th June. Mrs Anderson D8
S1/S2 ART WORK
Any pupil wanting their artwork back should collect it from D16 before the last day of term, after which it will be recycled. Thanks. Mr Thomson
S2 THIS IS ME WHO AM I?
Any pupil who wants their work added to the display in the Library and needs to finish their statement can do so anytime they are free in D16. Equally if you want your unfinished work back the same thing applies. Thanks. Mr Thomson
FESTIVALE IS BACK! Come over the road to Lewisvale Park on Friday to watch some of the amazing musical talent we have here at the Grammar … past and present and even future! There’s a massive line up featuring singers and dancers from MGS such as MC2, Monday to Friday and Rebecca Traynor… and even some ex pupils are making a reappearance! There will also be lots of activities and stalls to get info about the various clubs, trips and activities that go on in school and Musselburgh. There will be hot BBQ burgers, Luca’s ice cream and inflatables too! All the live music action kicks off on the main stage at 11am and will wind up at 2pm. Keep reading the Pupil News to be kept up-to-date with the bands and performers…
