Day 4 -Leaving the chateau and our arrival in Paris. We spent a very hot and sweaty 4 hours on the bus to Paris. Pupils were outstanding and coped well in very sticky conditions. We enjoyed our first breakfast of freshly made pains au chocolats at 8.15am after a sound sleep. Then we were off to Bayeux, a beautiful town and the sun was shining again. After a rather stuffy 10.5 hour journey we arrived at Portsmouth – with literally minutes to spare before the boat left.  At least it meant that no cases were searched by Customs causing us a further delay.  Not many people managed to sleep – exceptions were Lewis Anderson and Amy Stevenson.  Neil could not sleep for counting [...]
