The Hearts club currently use part of the Pinkie playing field beside the primary school, as a training ground. The provisional master plan for the lagoons development includes a Sports Academy in which Hibs will be involved.

West Berkshire Council is advising parents and staff for schools opening tomorrow (Monday) that parking may still be restricted and is urging people to consider that they may have a longer walk.

The children and staff of Macmerry Primary will be re-locating to the annexe of Haddington Infant School, Meadow Park, Haddington tomorrow (Tuesday 23 April). Pupils will be bussed there and back. Parents of children attending the primary school are being asked to make sure that their children are at Macmerry Miners’ Welfare Club car park for 8.25am, where coaches will be waiting to take the children to Haddington Infants Annexe. The children will be bussed back to Macmerry Miners’ Welfare Club for collection at 3.25pm each day, except Fridays, when children may be collected from the Miners’ Welfare at 12.25pm. While the children are based at Haddington Infants Annexe, all classes will be released at 12.15pm, including P1 and P2.

Thanks for keeping us up to date, I’m sure all the parents appreciate it. Also, I agree with Leigh – Mrs D, Mrs Jackson and Miss Gordon are brilliant bus ladies, and everything is crossed hoping for a quick return ‘home’!

That looks like a really interesting visit – I wish I had been on it! I would have been especially interested to learn about the Canadian Fir Trade as I have only ever heard of the Canadian Fur Trade before…….

Great stuff, still keeping everything crossed it goes ahead.
Just want to say in particular a big thank you to Mrs Donachie who is doing a fantastic job of Bus Lady everyday, great organising. Thank you.

Fantastic trips happening for all children at the moment, Jack throughly enjoyed his trip to the Museum on the Mound last week.
And looking forward to ‘water sports’ at Musselburgh tomorrow.

And Jack came back with a mystery bag for me to guess the contents! With some good clues from Jack-we figured out it was shredded old bank notes. Problem solving and active learning indeed! Well done.
