Primary 1 have had a busy half term. Our topic was Energy and we have been doing lots of activities to help us discover more about Light Energy, Sound Energy, Heat Energy and Electrical Energy. Our technology homework was to make a musical instrument to share with the class. Everyone worked really hard and the other children listened carefully and asked great questions! In Literacy we have been learning lots of new sounds and working on blending sounds together when reading and writing. We have also been learning some common words and we impress Mrs Capaldi every day with our knowledge! In Maths we have done a lot of work on subtraction and counting up to 100! We have just started exploring coins and we look forward to doing more money when we return after the break. Our next topic will be toys from the past. Mrs Capaldi hopes to organise a trip during the next few weeks and we will have our next class assembly too! Here are some photos which give a flavour of P1 life in January and February."
