Meeting 15th November 2011 6.30pm
Further to Mrs Graham’s recent note, the Parent Council would also like to encourage all parents to attend the forthcoming meeting on the discussion of the school Inspection Report. However, we appreciate that it is not easy for all parents to attend due to work and childcare comittments. If this is the case for you but you have a question that you would like to ask, or you want to have your views/concerns raised at the meeting, you can do this by contacting your class PC Rep who will raise it on your behalf. Alternatively, please email the parent council mailbox at parentcouncil@loretto.elcschool.org.uk with details of your question/view/concern.
We hope to see you all on the 15th to show your support for our school, it’s teachers and staff and of course, our children.
Book Fair
Remember that the Book Fair will take place wk beginning 7th November 2011. There will be a chance for parents to visit the fair on parents evenings and at various time slots throughout that week (times will be posted on the website and noticeboard). Commission earned from book sales will be spent on new books for our library.
Christmas Fair
The Christmas Fair is drawing near and we would like to appeal for donations which can be handed into the school now. Raffle prizes, bottles for our bottle stall, good condition toys and books and gifts will all be gratefully received. (Remember we will take home-baking on the day). Raffle tickets will be on sale at parents evenings just incase you cannot make it on the day!
We would also like to appeal for helpers – if you can help on the day please email the parent council mailbox or speak to a PC Rep.
Eco Committee
Please read and respond to the following appeal from the children on the Eco Committee: “We are trying to get our silver flag award for being an Eco School and we need to do lots of things to achieve this. One thing that we can do with your help is to reduce the amount of paper we use in school. We would like to be able to speak to parents without using paper notes and we can do this using email. All we need you to do is to give us your email address…simples!! Please give us your details by emailing us at parentcouncil@loretto.elcschool.org.uk. If you don’t have an email address can you please tell us so we know that you still need to get a paper note. We hope to have everyones email address by the end of the term at Christmas so we can start 2012 using less paper. Thank you.”
