As this Friday (28th October) is the last Friday of the month we will be having a dress down day. Theme this month is, of course, Halloween. Don’t make your outfit too scary though as you’ll frighten the teachers!! This will be the last burger day for this year as next month we will be busy preparing for the Christmas Fair (which is on Saturday 3rd December). So, all you witches & wizards, please remember your £1 on Friday for dress down and burgers will be on sale from 12.15pm from the back door of the dining hall as usual (burgers £1.50 & cheeseburger £1.60).
Some other dates for your diary coming up soon….
- The book fair from Travelling Books will take place wk beginning 7 November 2011. There will be an opportunity for parents to attend the book fair at various times throughout the week and the book fair will also be open during the parents evenings on Tuesday 8th November and Thursday 10th November. Great chance to pick up books for Christmas! The children will also have slots throughout the week to view the books and then a slot to purchase.
- On Tuesday 15th November the Parent Council will be holding a ‘special’ meeting to discuss the school Inspection Report. This meeting is open to all parents and will be attended by Phil Denning from HMIE who will hopefully be able to answer any questions parents may have.
- As already mentioned the Christmas Fair will take place on Saturday 3rd December from 10am-12 and hopefully the weather will be kinder to us this year. Please try to come along and support this fun, family event. If you can help on the day then please drop us an email at parentcouncil@loretto.elcschool.org.uk. We are also looking for donations for our hampers, bottle stall and raffle. Please hand in donations to the school office.
- You will be hearing soon from the Eco Committee who are working with the Parent Council in trying to get all parents to sign up to Email notifications to reduce our use of paper on notes like this one! Please make every effort to supply your email address when the Eco Committee contact you.
