P6 Homework task – This task is due to be handed in on Tuesday
March 20th 2012.
As part of our Victorian topic we are planning to create a museum
to include work from all three of the P6 classes. We require exhibits from everyone to demonstrate the many different crafts that wealthier Victorians would try out in their spare time – there are lots of ideas to choose from.
By Friday 2nd March put

I’m now going to do a decoupage ornament because my Victorian papier mache went mouldy.

I’m sewing a Victorian maids apron because I love sewing
I have decided to change. I am going to do paper dolls. I have chosen this because I LOVE drawing. I am going to make a rich family with two outfits.
I have chosen to make a puppet because I like to make puppets. I am making a marionette puppet of a Victorian man. I got my idea from a book.

i am going to do a decoupage, i chose to do this because i have the kit and love doing it any way. I got my idies from my mum when she organised my party at fingers and thumbs we did seramics and deoupaging i am going to create to cardboard apples :0
For my victorian project, I have chosen to do two small cross stitch flowers. I got the idea from the sheet I got from my teacher and I decided to do it in the end because I do cross stitching as a hobbie. : D
For my Victorian project, I have decided to decoupage a round box. I have started a cross stitch bookmark and might try some knitting. My main focus is my decoupage and my knitting and cross stitch are extras.
For my victorian craft I am going to make a zoetrope because I saw it in the victorian museum last year. A zoetrope is an animation wheel which makes moving pictures when you spin it.

How to make a Paper Marche Victorian House.
I am going to make a Victorian paper mache house i got the idea from a web site. I am looking forward to this craft it sounds fun and messy.
I have chosen to make a victorian wooden puppet. I will paint it like a jester and queen Victoria. Im going to decorate them using material , ribbon and lace. All things that the victorians used.
I have chosen to do victorian bottle craft.I got the idea when i googled victorian bottles. I chose this craft because i thought it sounded very different to all the other things to do. I am going to design and decorate a victorian perfume bottle.
I have chosen to do the bottle craft of the sheet we got because i live near the sea and my sister likes art so we have lots of beads and stuff.it sounds fun

I have chosen to make steam train out of cardboard and wood. I got the idea after our discussion in class.
I chose to do Decoupage I chose this because I saw some when Molly from my class brought some in and it looked fun to make.

I am going to cover an object with pictures and wrapping paper.
-I am going to make a doll out of felt.
-I have chosen to make a doll because at my old school in P4 we had to make a toy for homework. I made a mini Ray Quin
(a guest on dancing on ice at the time) puppet that I sewed it with a bit of help from my Mum.
-I got my ideas (inspiration) from the puppet.
I’m going to make a trinket box and decorate it with pre-Raphaelite art. I am doing this because I like the sound of it and it looks fun. I got the idea from a website which had extracts from a Victorian magazine and also looking at different art with my mummy.
I have chosen to do clay modelling. I have chosen to do this because i did pottery classes at the community last year and really enjoyed it. I got my idea from the sheet we got from school and also from a pot i made from river mud in morocco. I am going to create a puffin made out of clay because it is related to North Berwick.
I have chosen to cover a wooden box with a decoupage. I got the idea from my brother
because he did a decoupage for his Victorian Arts and Crafts. I want to do a decoupage because I have never done one before and I would like to try it.
The craft I intend to do is a Silhouette. I want to do a Silhouette because I think it will be really, really fun and a wee bit challenging. I also chose this because I didn’t know what it was until I looked it up and saw some pictures that looked great so i can’t wait till it is finished and i see what it looks like. I got the idea from my book that I have called “365 things to make and do”. I am planning to make a small booklet with 4 or 5 Silhouettes in it. They will be of Victorian people and objects and I can’t wait to start!!!

Im doing bottle craft for my art. I have chosen it because i dont do things like it alot and i have lots of shells in my house.
I have chosen to do knitting, and a I am also doing a little cross stitch because i liked doing crafty things. I got the idea of knitting because i had already started. I thought it was unfair that i had already started so I decided to do a cross stitch.
I am going to make a steam train out of cardboard.I have chosen it because my Grandpa likes steam trains.I just thought of the idea because I made a model boat in P5 and I liked doing it.
I am going to cover a metal bucket with decoupage.
I got the idea from my brother because he did a decoupage.

I am going to make a toy train out of wood. I thought it was a good idea to make on because it was quite easy to make. Now that I have started it is harder than I thought because most of the wood is to big or to small so we have to use a hack saw to cut the wood.

I chose to do a victorian bottle craft as i originally was going to do a lavender wand but couldn’t get fresh lavender so went for 2nd choice.I had a look on some victorian themed websites for ideas then my mum suggested the bottle craft. I will decorate it colourfully with different materials including paper doilies, i might even put some lavender oil inside!
I have chosen to do cross stich in a decoupage frame. I chose to do this because I like doing sewing and I like doing decoupage and i think it will be really fun.
