
As the end of term approaches we are looking back at everything we have learned this term about the Victorians. Its been a really interesting topic and we would like to share some of the information which we have learned and how we learned about it.

As the end of term approaches we are looking back at everything we have learned this term about the Victorians. Its been a really interesting topic and we would like to share some of the information which we have learned and how we learned about it.
Facts on Victorians
1. We learnt about famous people such as David Livingstone.
2. Queen Victoria had 9 children 5 girls and 4 boys.
3. Poor children had to go to work for long hours and got little pay.
I enjoyed watching the videos and i think the p5s have a lot to look forward to!!!
We learnt using books, sheets, videos and eachother.
I have learned that:
1. Queen Victoria was born in 1819 and died in 1901 aged 81.
2. By the end of the Victorian times about one quarter of the world was part of the British Empire
3. In the Crystal Palace at Hide Park the Great Exhibition was opened in 1851.
I learned these things by watching videos, reading books, doing worksheets and searching on the internet.
These are some of the facts I learned:
1. In 1851 The Great Exhibition was opened.
2. In Victorian mills, children had to go under the machines to clean them while they were working because adults were too big.
3. There were lots of Victorian reformers ,who helped the poor, including Lord Shaftesbury and Thomas Barnardo
we learned all these things by reading books, watching preseentations and videos and searching for info on the internet. I really enjoyed making and seeing everone else’s decoupage.

2.I lerned all about victorian reformers
3.I learnt that Britain ruled 25% of the world including Australia.
My favourite part of the Victorian topic was dressing up victorian style.
I have learnt quite a few intreasting facts from our victorian project
1. Florene nightingale was a nurse that healed wounded soldiers in the criemean war and she had a pet owl
2.The crystle palace had over 14,000 exibits and was made of glass and iron only
3. David Livingstone was the first white man to cross Africa!
In my Victorian project, I have learnt:
1.Queen Victoria reigned from 1837 – 1901.
2.The Great Exhibition was held at Crystal Palace.
3.The Victorians were never seen without a hat.
I got information from books,videos,presentations powerpoints and worksheets.I really enjoyed the Victorian school morning.
I enjoyed watching all the videos about Victorians and all the arts and crafts we did and dressing up as Victorian school children!
1. I learned about Queen Victoria’s life!
2. I learned about reformers and what they acually did!
3. In groups we showed eachother powerpoints about working children and about the conditions they worked in!
1. I learned about when she was born and when she died .
2. I learned about the great Exhibition the cristal palace .
3. I learned about the conditions on the children who never got a reference .
It was really fun when the strickt head master came in!!

1.David Livingstone was the first white man to cross africa. i learned that by watching a vidio.
2.Queen Victoria was born in 1819.i learned that from a fact sheet.
3.Children had to start at the age of five.i learned about that by a vidio. i liked dressing up as victorian children
I have learned alot about victorians. here are some of the things that we learned:
1.i learened that in coal mines children would be made to work in very very small tunnes.
2. florance nightingale was a nurse in the crimea war.
3.i learned that at the age of five children had to workb in factories.
I learned those things by: books internet and other children.
my favourite thing was are deocupage!!
I have learned lots of facts in the victorian project including
1. one in four died before the age of 1 in Britain in the 19th century.
2.Floerence Nightingale went to the crimea war in 1855 to help ingured soldiers.
3. We learned about that britain was one of the wealthiest courtries in the world in the victorian era.
my favorite thing that I did in the victorian project was the victorian morning where I got belted OW!
Altogeth I thought that the victorian project was a brilliant success and the p5′s should really look forward to it
