The children weren’t allowed to carry or have hot drinks but my friend that was sitting with brought in hot chocolate that had cooled down a bit, so it was okay. It was fun.
The French breakfast was really fun. We got to bring our parents so they could share the food and fun! We brought lots of French food and the teachers provided juice for us to drink. We were allowed to share our food, but we had to check that people weren`t allergic. We had about half an hour to eat and drink and then we did a shape challenge. We had to build our own mini Arc de Triomphe! It was fun but hard.
We very much enjoyed the opportunity to come into class and sit with the children to enjoy a french breakfast. Saskia joined myself and Ellie, we had pan au chocolait, choc chip brioche and home made croissants – great fun. We took everything into school in a box we decorated with a french theme – snails, the french flag, cheese, jam etc… A nice chance to meet the other parents too.

We had a French breakfast on Friday the 23 of August we had one because we are doing a French topic. I brought in two French crossoints and chocolate milk. My mum came in as the visitor and she had some tea and one of the crossoints. It was in Mrs McNiven’s classroom which is in the middle area. Half way through we started making louvrés and we almost finished ours. At the end we heard the leaving bell and my mum had to go. I really enjoyed our French Breakfast!
On March the 23rd, all the p5’s had a French Breakfast. Which is when all the p5’s have to ask a parent or guardian to come and have a French Breakfast with them. And you have to speak French, eat French food, and at the end you have to do a challenge with your guest/guests. We ate croissant, pan au chocolat, baguettes, French jam and It was great.
But if a child doesn’t have any guests coming, then they will have to pair up with someone else and eat with them. That happened to me. Matthew Wilson and Alex Armstrong Brown had to come and eat with my guests, my nana and papa. They really really enjoyed it. For the challenge we had to design the Louvre using straws and blu tac.
On our French Breakfast my dad came and we had croissants, bread in hot chocolate. Then we did a challenge to build the Louvre . We used the art straws, in maths we learned about 2 and 3D shape, different triangles, different lines such as parallel lines and perpendicular lines but we did not have any of them in the model. I thought it was fun and exciting.
At our French breakfast my mum was my guest and we ate croissants and pain au choclat la and jam, it was very tasty. In maths we were learning about parallel and perpendicular lines .With our visitors we did a challenge we had to make the Louvre out of art straws it is a museum and the Mona Lisa lives there. 5/6 made the Eiffel Tower out of drinking straws and 5A made the Arch de triumph out of Lego pieces.my mum got very serious about it. She loved every second of it, I hope every else did to.it was on the 23rd of march 2012.By Charlotte Livesey 5b
Parents came for a French breakfast for most children, the peoples parents who could not come would join up with their friends so that they had someone to meet and have breakfast with. We ate chocolate croissants, crackers and cheese, and coffee and juice for adults and children. We had it on the 23rd on the resent Friday. We had this French breakfast because it is based on or French topic. Some people had the breakfast in the class room and some people had it in the middle area. With our visitors we did a challenge we had to make the Louvre out of art straws it is a museum and the Mona Lisa lives there. 5/6 made the Eiffel Tower out of drinking straws and 5A made the Arch de triumph out of Lego pieces. In math we learned parallel and perpendicular lines so this is the reason why we did the challenge. Rachel 5b

It was on March the 23rd 2012, 9.30 and 10.20. It was in our class in the Middle area. We did it because we were doing a French topic and we where learning about 3d and 2d shapes and parallel and perpendicular lines.

I, Sam, brought my mum to the French breakfast. We ate French food and tried to build the Louvre out of straw and blue-tack. I brought croissants. It was on the 23rd of March 2012, 9.30 – 10.20. On Friday the 23rd of March, the P.5’s had their French Breakfast. It was a wonderful morning of French food (We brought: crackers with cheese, Brie, chocolate croissants flowers as decoration for our table.) And a shape challenge. The P.5b’s challenge was to create the Louvre entrance with art straws. I enjoyed it thoroughly!
P.5 A’s challenge was to create the Arch de’ Triomphe with Lego and P.5/6’s challenge was to create the Eiffel Tower with drinking straws. In maths we learned about parallel and perpendicular lines to help us with the challenge. I thought Emily’s mum was entertaining!!!
I brought my Mum & Dad and we made a sculpture of the Louvre using straws and blu tac. My mum and dad both wanted to do it different ways but we did get something done. We had a baguette, cheese and French water and I enjoyed the French breakfast because the challenge was fun and I liked seeing my mum and dad.
I was with Scott and Alex. We ate croissants, brie and another cheese. Alex brought his mum and dad. Scott brought his nana and papa. We made a sculpture of the Louvre out of straws and blu tac. The challenge was difficult to try and get the perpendicular and parallel lines right. It was fun to meet other people`s families.
French breakfast
On Friday the 23rd it was French breakfast day. Parents came to eat the yummy French food that the students brought. If your parents couldn’t come that was not a problem, you just paired up with one of your friends. The breakfast was held in the classrooms but the people who had more than two guests went in the middle area. For the breakfast everybody had to bring French food. My group had hot chocolate, chocolate croissants, normal croissants, crèpes, French fancies and banquets. The most popular food was probably croissants. After most people had finished eating, we started on making things. 5b had to make the Louvre out of art straws, 5a made the Arc De Triumph out of Lego, and the p5’s in 5\6 made the Eiffel tower out of drinking straws. Some of the creations were amazing! Then the parents had to go, but hopefully they would come again.
French breakfast
On Friday the 23rd P5 had a French breakfast and most of all the P5’s parents came in and had some of their child’s French food that they had brought in. There was tea and coffee for the adults and juice for the pupils in the area that the parents had to get themselves because we were not allowed to carry the hot drinks. After they had had the food P5b were challenged to make a model of the Louvre and we got to finish them off at home. We thought it was fun and the food was really nice.
