On Friday 18th of March it was Red Nose Day. We brought in some money and dressed differently for Red Nose Day. It was amazing! There was a diver, a ghoul, a few footballers and some of us just dressed in red. Near the end of the day Mrs MacNiven took a photo of us and we smiled at the camera. After that we designed posters, stamps, top trumps and comics. We all had loads of fun!!! By Tom Johnston

North Berwick Problem Solvers
On Wednesday 23rd of March 2011 all p5 classes went to the whisky bottle wood and did four activities but first you had to get in to groups 0f 8 people. The first activity was when you had some gutters and a lot of tennis balsl and you had to get a tennis ball at a time and try to get from a pink bucket to another bucket.
The second activity was when you had do walk and hold onto a rope and the person in front of you and try to finish but you had to do it blindfolded. The third activity was when you either had to use 6 Lilly pads or a strip of rug and you had to get from one set of cones to another set of cones. The final activity was when you had 6 ropes at the same length and you had to carry a bucket of water from a Lilly pad to another Lilly pad.
We had to work as a team, listen to each other, all get involved and solve all the problems. It was challenging but really good fun.
Mini hikers
P5 have been hiking up the Law and learning about it’s surroundings with Jen the Ranger who told us about all the roundhouses and showed us artefacts. We found three round houses and they were massive because all the people and animals slept together; imagine living with your entire family and there were thirty houses up there. This was part of our John Muir Award as we are working towards designing nformation boards as part of a trail up the Law. We learned a lot to help us wth this.
