Seeking your Stories

We are issuing a plea in primary 5 for people to share their stories about the Law now and in the past. We are hoping to hear lots of tales of things that have happened in the local area, or about ways in which you, your family and friends are using or have used the Law. We are fortunate enough to be getting involved in creating a formal trail up the Law which will inlcude information boards along the way. The main focus will be on social stories shared by the people in the community.

Please write a comment with your story on this post, or send your story in writing to our school, addressed to Primary 5, or put it on the noticeboard we will be setting up in the library.

We are really looking forward to hearing all your stories and really need your support in order for this important project to be a success.

Cracking Christmas Maths!

There was a hive of activity in primary 5 just before Christmas as all pupils were involved in a carousel doing three maths activities. There was present wrapping in order to help Santa and working out the weights and costs of parcels which needed to be sent by post. There was also a cocktail party with nibbles where you had to mix the cockail of your choice.

This was the end of a lot of hard work this term on measuring volume, weight and length. Well Done everyone!

Law Primary 5 Junior Apprentices 2010

There has been much excitement and anticipation in primary 5 over the past few weeks over the decision on who would be the Junior Apprentices 2010. The final decision was made in the boardroom with a panel of judges, including Lady Alana Sugar and it came down to a final of 3 teams who made their presentations and then hoped for the best. After much deliberating the results were posted on a noticbeoard for all to see in the middle are.

Every pupil in primary 5 was given an opportunity to vote for the winner in their own classrooms. The vote was done anonymously so that it was fair and people were not just voting for their friends.

Congratulations to the the three winners who were Kate, Daisy and Holly in primary 5A who did a design for a Gizmo Gadget Chair.

YOU ARE ALL HIRED!!

The two other runner up teams were: Euan, James and Cameron in 5C with their design for an Auto Car Zoom and Anna, Bonnie and Heather from 5B who designed a Luxury Cushion Pod.

The standard of all designs was very high and much fun was had by all!
