The past couple of weeks have been a complete whiteout which has meant quite a few days off school. However many of us were still very busy and as a homework task, we were asked to complete a weekly diary showing all the things we got up too.

On Monday I went on a walk with my sister and next – door – neighbour, we also invented a new type of sledging called slanting. It is just like normal sledging excepted you stand up instead of sitting down .On Tuesday me my sister and my mum and dad, we found a brilliant sledging hill but there was hardly any snow on it .On
Wednesday I spent most of the day inside putting up x-mas decorations. On Thursday I went on a walk to a pond with my dad and next-door-neighbour, when we got there we saw four swans. On Friday I was ill so I didn’t do anything.

Monday I Went for a sleepover at my friends house and it was really fun.
Tuesday Went sledging with my dad at the tennis court.
Wednesday I had a sleepover at my friends house and we had stovies for dinner after we went outside and had a snowball fight but I got hit in the face.
Thursday I had dinner at Lisa’s house and we had burgers then we played tig around the house then I had to go home
When it was snow funny I did sledging, watched a DVD and it was funny, made a igloo that took three days to build and made a car out of knex and I went to the sea bird centre.
2 weeks ago there was so much snow that we had no school.I did a snowball fight with my brother on Wednesday he won but I made this giant snowball about 7 inches in diameter.On Thursday and Friday I went to the Christmas fair in Edinburgh.My favourite thing was the trampolines.Also on Friday I made a giant mountain of snow with my brother in Edinburgh.We put three snowballs on top so it looks like theres a giant snowman on top.I also board games and watched movies in that week.
When I was snowed in I went sledging at the golf course and it was the best. I also had a snowball fight at Ben W’s house at night so we couldn’t see. I was at my childminder with Ben w and a P1 called Jamie, and we made a snowman.
When I was snowed in I did sledging with my mum and brother it was very coooooooold!!. I went on a walk .I played out side in the snow. Watched tv. I made a snow man .I went to my friends house to play. I played with my pet giuny pig!!!!.
In the snow break I had some good times and some bad times. On Monday morning at 6 am the first thing I did was run into the study, switch on the computer, go onto law 24 and shout “YAAHHOOOO, NO SCHOOL”. Forgetting to turn the computer off I ran downstairs, had my breakfast and played on my Nintendo DS. ON Tuesday morning I did exactly the same. About 3 hours later I ran outside, made as many snowballs as I could then threw them as far as I could. By the time that I had done that it was lunchtime so I went and had my lunch. On Wednesday I did the same Monday. In the Afternoon I went sledging with my dad and then made a snow dog with some people that live near me. On Thursday I did the same as Monday. At 10 am I went out side and made a body for a snowman and then went for lunch. On Friday I missed my breakfast, went outside and made a head for my snowman. I came inside and had my breakfast then remembered that I had not checked to see if school was on so I looked at the time. I was right, school was not on.
When I was snowed in I:
Went sledging at the tennis courts.
Went to the cinema. We watched alpha and omega
Went sledging at the rugby pitches. I enjoyed sledging at the rugby pitches because we were snow boarding on the sledges!
Played on my computer
And I sledged at the golf course. I really enjoyed sledging there because one of my friends had a half skidoo and half sledge.
When the school was closed for a week I,
Monday:
I went sledging at 8:00am,
‘Till 10:30am
I have red sledge with blue string and it’s plastic.
I invited my friend over to sledge with me. Her name is Marion.
She came down in the afternoon just after I’d finished my lunch.
We went outside sledging for about half-a-hour. We came in for a hot-chocolate. After that we just sledged for the rest of the day.
Tuesday: I invited Marion down at 9:00am and went on the computer for a bit. Then we went outside to sledge for about 60 minutes. After that we came in for a bite to eat and a drink. We sledged all day. Marion’s dad came down and let me stay over at her house.
Wednesday: We walked down from Marion’s house and went sledging all day but came in for breaths. She went back home.
Thursday: I went sledging with Marion again all day but came in for 2 hot chocolates. She went home at 8:00pm.
Friday: Marion was sledging with her friend Rosie so I went out by my-self. My mum called me in to add the finishing touches to my sea-shore project.
During the whiteout I built an igloo, though me and my family didn’t get it finished before it melted. Me and my youngest sister also built a snowman but it wasn’t very tall. I really enjoyed being out building stuff in the snow while school was off. On Wednesday I went sledging at the children’s golf course. At one point I slid down the 2nd hole but I didn’t notice there was a small ramp on the hill and I went flying over it and almost flipped right over. It was scary and fun at the same time. On Tuesday I built half of a LEGO house and the inside. The inside was full of fancy stuff because I made the house extremely big. On Thursday I went to the library and took out The Murderous Maths of everything. At the library there was comics you could read but not take home so while my sisters were picking more books, I read a Simpsons comic. On Friday David came over to my house and we had a giant snowball fight. At one point I got a snowball down my back and it was freezing. Apart from that I had a really good time.
When I was snowed in I took my dog a walk with my dad and We went to the Whisky bottle I enjoyed that even though it was very icy. But I enjoyed that because we haven’t been long walk for ages. I also was going to go to the library but I couldn’t because it was to snowy so I didn’t. I didn’t enjoy that because I really wanted to. After lunch I went onto the school website to see if it was on tomorrow but it wasn’t. So the next day I took my dog a walk again. This time I just took her to the car park at the Law. Then I played with my friend. I enjoyed that.
When I was snowed in I did this I went sledging with my family and the snow was up to my knees it was fun I only went half way. I played with my friend that lives next door we watch a film and played in my room. We went on a walk and the snow was very deep and cooled I had so much fun. We went up to a vue cinema to see Harry Potter and the deathly halos it was great after that I went Christmas shopping for my sister and my dad.
I really enjoyed the snow because we didn’t have to school and I love playing in the snow. I went sledging at the Glen and the tennis court.
I made a igloo at Thomas ‘s house after that we had a snowball fight. Then
We went in for a hot chocolate.
During the whiteout I made a igloo in my back garden with my sister and my dad and had a snowball fight with my dad and my sister down at the beach. I went sledging with my dad the next day and then I went to my mum’s house and we relaxed. The next morning I slept in ‘till 10.15 in the morning. When I woke up I went through to my sitting room while I was walking through to the sitting room I looked into my mum’s room and I saw my sister on the computer so I asked my mum if I could go on the computer after and she said yes. When my sister came off the computer I went on it and played on some maths games, I went on spelling city as well.
In the white out I watched SpongeBob every morning until my friends came super early, when I was still in my pyjamas! I had two snowball fights but sometimes I didn’t like them because snow goes down your back its really cold. On Wednesday I went down the high street with my sister and got lunch from Greggs it was really nice. Every single evening I went sledging with my sister. That was my snow week.
When I was off school because of the snow I did lots of things.
Me, my friends and my sister made a very big snowman that was about 7ft tall!
I went sledging almost everyday down a steep hill which was very fun.
In the morning on Saturday I went to winter wonderland with my dad and sister.
My top 2 things that was the most enjoyable was cooking my family a roast dinner and building an igloo.
When the school was closed for a week I:
Monday: I made a tunnel with Ross and Eddie it was great.
Tuesday: I went sledging with Eddie (it was funny when Eddie crashed).
Wednesday: I had a lie in it was nice.
Thursday: I made a igloo with Eddie and Ross it was good fun.
Friday: I made the igloo better (it looked better too).
When I was snowed in I played outside every day except Wednesday. On Wednesday I made a fimo nativity scene, fimo is type of modelling clay that you cook in the oven. On Monday morning I looked on the weblog and checked if school was on, when it said that there was no school I shouted “YAY NO SCHOOL and jumped back in bed. Then I slept for another 2 hours! I also had lots of attempts at making a snow man (they didn’t really work!).
When I got snowed in these are just a few activities that I did. I threw snowballs at people but I had to go in because I was to wet and cold. Then I walked my two dogs
up the lane we live at and I shovelled some snow off our path. Then I got into North Berwick for the first time because I live in East Linton. Finally we made some snowmen before School started.
When school was shut I spent my time playing in the snow with my pal Zoe Laidlaw . We had a snow ball fight oh I loved it so much I finished my personal research .My dog buddy loves the snow we took him on a walk and he ran and ran and ran it was so funny.Back to me and Zoe we made snow angles and we loved it so so so much .Me and my mum got stuck and it was so so so funny
When school was off I spent some time learning Chinese. My mum was born in China so she is teaching me Chinese. I also practiced my maths and some reading. For my personal research in school I am doing Gannets. I made a power point – not for home work but for fun. During all the snow I learnt how to knit. It was difficult at first but in the end I managed to. I enjoyed being off but I missed my friends and especially art.
When I was off school I made a snowman it had a massive body and a tiny head, it looked weird.
I did sledging which was fun. I baked some cakes at my grandmas and cleared out her car park with her, that was tiring.
I made some paper chains at my house which I really enjoyed.
In the whiteout week I done sledging every day and on Tuesday I stayed out a bit longer than expected. On Monday after I had my dinner I made a big snowman. On Monday, Wednesday and Thursday I played on the laptop. After lunch on Friday Ross in 5c phoned and asked if I wanted to go and play football with me and some of his other friends wanted to play as well I thought it was really tiring but was really fun. Every day we went sledging and I fell and hurt myself.

In my snow week I had lots of fun, I am going to tell you my highlight of each day. My favourite thing on Monday was when me and my family went to the High street and got shopping. On Tuesday I read my book for the John Muir challenge. On Wednesday I baked fairy cakes with my Mum. On Thursday I went to sledge with my brother and his friends. And on Friday I had a long lie. I really enjoyed my snow week.
We missed school for a week. I did sledging then I played maths and spelling games on the computer on woodlands junior .The next day I played football after that I played maths games. It was good I still pl ayed on woodlands Junior.
