Mrs Sweeney’s amazing drama

All primary 5 classes did drama with Mrs. Sweeney. She taught us about John Muir when he was a young kid she also told us about his little brother named David. She split us up in 4 groups the first group did the scene about his grandad and when they went for a walk and the grandad fell asleep and John found 6 mice. The second scene was about David and John playing scoochers (dares) and the third scene was about when they go to the beach when they were meant to stay in the garden but they sneaked out to go to beach. The fourth scene is when Annie tells tem a story about the dandy doctors and they get really scared. All of are class thought it was fun and enjoyable.

Primary 5 Environmentalists

All p5 classes went to John Muir birthplace in Dunbar in November, we went on all the three floors and some of us found the statue of John Muir pretty freaky. The ground floor was about John Muir’s life in Dunbar. The second floor was about his life in America. The third floor is about why John Muir is famous today. We are learning about John Muir so we can achieve are John Muir award.

P5 Beach Clean

On Thursday 28.10.10 eleven children from each P5 class went down to the beach to do a beach clean with Mrs Lima, Jen the Ranger and some parents.  We collected a lot of rubbish including plastic, rope, string, cans, paper and cotton buds.  We kept a record of the top five types of rubbish found on the beach.  Other children from P5 will be cleaning the beach in February and May.  If you were part of the beach clean team please add a comment to share your experience with the others.  Maybe you could mention what you need wear, what we did and any safety tips.
