Primary five are in full swing towards achieving their John Muir Award. In order to do this they have to DISCOVER and EXPLORE a wild place – we are focusing on our wonderful local beach. They are also reuqired to address issues of CONSERVATION so are learning about the depleting rockpools in North Berwick. Finally they plan to SHARE all of they have learned.
We are working closely with the local Seabird Centre and a local artist Sandra Vick in order to plan, design and be involved in the printing or publication of a book on these issues. We also plan to share our ideas and books on the weblog and through podcasts.
On the 11th of November Emily from the Seabird Centre, Sandra the artist and lots of P5 parents came in to talk to and work with us on this process. Thanks everyone!
We are all very excited about this indeed. Click on the link above to find out more.
